Qatar participates in GCC Standardization Organization's tech council

The Chairperson of Qatar General Organization for Standardization and Metrology (QGOSM) Engineer Mohammed bin Saud Al Musallam participates in the virtual meeting
The State of Qatar Sunday participated in the 48th meeting of the Technical Council of the GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), which was held virtually. During the meeting, the Qatar was represented by the Chairperson of Qatar General Organization for Standardization and Metrology (QGOSM) Engineer Mohammed bin Saud Al Musallam. The meeting discussed the report on the workflow of the Gulf technical committees for standards, as well as GSO's memorandum on the evaluation of the Gulf technical committees for the year 2020, and a memo regarding the technical work guide for standardization. The meeting also addressed the outcomes of the 31st meeting of the Steering Committee for Metrology and the report of the Chairperson of the GCC metrology group from November - March of 2021. Additionally, it discussed the memorandum from the GSOs presidency regarding the guideline of product safety and market survey and the developments of the GCC conformity system, in addition to the memorandum regarding the fifth meeting of the steering committee for recruitment. In regard to the field of corporate services, the participants of the meeting reviewed the memorandum of the GSO's presidency on the unified financial system for standardization services, while in the field of strategy, they reviewed the memorandum of GSO's presidency on the strategic plan of GSO for the period from 2021 to 2025, as well as the updates that emerged during the meeting.More Related News
