Love of one’s homeland is a deeply rooted human value that Islam has acknowledged and firmly established in people’s hearts.
Human beings are naturally attached to the land in which they are born and raised, forming emotional and spiritual bonds with it. Islam emphasises that love of one’s homeland does not contradict faith; rather, it complements it when expressed through positive conduct such as preserving security, respecting laws, and contributing sincerely to the development and welfare of society.
This concept is clearly illustrated in the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who expressed his profound love for Makkah when he was forced to leave it, declaring that it was the most beloved land to him and that he would not have departed had its people not expelled him. This statement affirms the legitimacy of loving one’s homeland and feeling deep attachment to it.
From this perspective, Qatar National Day holds a special place in the hearts of citizens and residents alike.
It is a significant national occasion that embodies the meanings of belonging, loyalty, and pride.
