Qatar gives utmost priority to countering terrorism: Foreign Minister

Doha - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani reiterated that the State of Qatar gives an utmost priority to countering terrorism.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE underlined that the State of Qatar is an active partner in the international cooperation in confronting terrorism at the national, regional and international levels; and it will continue to carry out its role as an active partner in the international community to maintain international peace and security, and combat the phenomenon of terrorism locally by participating in all international and regional efforts in this regard, and it will also continue the humanitarian support it provides in order to restore stability in the affected areas in Syria and Iraq. Addressing the virtual meeting of the Ministers of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS held on Tuesday, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that terrorism continues to pose a great threat to international peace and security, noting that the success of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, especially in Iraq and Syria, reflects the commitment of the international community to combating terrorism.More Related News
