Qatar elected to ICAO council with massive support of 160 votes

Qatar secured a landslide victory in Montreal Tuesday at the UN special agency for aviation elections. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) elections saw Qatar elected, with 160 votes, to serve on the executive decision-making council after campaigning on a promise to work with all member states to ensure the highest standard of aviation policy making, particularly on a sustainable future for air travel.
