Qatar Chamber partakes in GCC executives committee meeting

Qatar Chamber has participated in the 52nd meeting of the executive committee of the Federation of the Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers (FGCCC) held in Dammam, KSA. The Chambers delegation was led by QC General Manager Saleh bin Hamad Al-Sharqi. Hosted by Al-Sharqia Chamber, the meeting discussed many topics including the recommendations of the technical team charged with reviewing the FGCCCs statutes, the Golden Excellence membership, the draft annual report for the year 2021, and the draft agenda of the 58th meeting of the Federation, to be held in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman on 15 June, as well as the draft agenda of the 53rd meeting of the executive committee. The meetings agenda also discussed recommendations of the 50th meeting of the executive committee and decisions of the 56th meeting of the Federation and the financial final accounts of the General Secretariat for 2020. In a statement, Saleh Al-Sharqi said that the meeting reviewed many issues that help in boosting economic and commercial cooperation among GCC states, stressing the Chambers preparedness to provide all support for the joint Gulf work, in a way that contributes to the development of the Gulf private sector and the achievement of Gulf economic citizenship. Al-Sharqi also noted that the executive committee holds regular meetings to examine issues and topics related to the development of trade exchange among member states. He said that the committees main tasks include activating its role in the FGCC General Secretariats work program, preparing topics to be submitted to the Federation, following-up the Federations decisions in coordination with the Secretary-General and approving its annual work program and final accounts. It is worth mentioning that the executive committee of the FGCCC consists of directors and executives of members unions and chambers of the GCC states.
