* Other Covid-19 precautionary measures previously announced will continue: Cabinet   The Cabinet has allowed private healthcare facilities to provide their services at up to 50% of the capacity, starting on Thursday. This came at the Cabinet’s regular meeting chaired by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani via videoconference on Wednesday, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported. Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al Nuaimi issued a statement giving the details of the proceedings. At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet listened to the explanation provided by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments regarding the steps taken to curb the spread of Covid-19. Amending its previous decision that suspended the provision of medical services in private healthcare facilities, except in emergency cases, and allowed any of these facilities to provide some of their medical services through modern means of communication, the Cabinet decided to permit private healthcare facilities to provide their services not exceeding 50% of their capacity, the QNA report said, adding that the decision will come into effect on Thursday and be in place until further notice. The other precautionary measures previously announced in order to combat the pandemic shall continue. Then, the Cabinet approved a draft law on measures related to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and decided to refer it to the Shura Council. It also approved a draft agreement between the governments of Qatar and Oman on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital. Further, the Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify a maritime transport agreement between the governments of Qatar and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
