President Trump's State of the Union: When is tonight's address?
USA TODAY
The president will deliver his State of the Union address tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 9 p.m. EST. Here's how and when to watch the event.
President Donald Trump will deliver his State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, Feb. 24, as he enters the second year of his second administration.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, R‑Louisiana, invited Trump to deliver the address in a January letter, praising his “bold action” and leadership and saying the country “stands stronger, freer, and more prosperous.”
“Since his return to office, @POTUS has not stopped working for the American people and delivering on his promises. The best is yet to come,” Johnson wrote on X.
But not all members of Congress will be in attendance on Tuesday, as prominent Democrats are planning a boycott of the State of the Union.
At least 12 lawmakers, including five senators and seven members of the House, said they would skip the address and hold a rally on the National Mall that they're calling the "People's State of the Union."
