Windsor Police say a man charged with attempted murder has been arrested for violating his bail conditions for the second time in approximately 10 months.
The 39-year-old was arrested in February of 2025 in connection with a targeted shooting near the intersection of Partington Avenue and Algonquin Street, the Windsor Police Service said in a news release issued Monday.
He was granted bail on multiple charges, including attempted murder, pointing a firearm, and possession of a prohibited firearm without a license.
Two months later, he was arrested again after bail compliance officers found he had violated the conditions of his release order, police said.
In October, he was released under strict house arrest conditions.
Officers then learned during routine monitoring that the suspect had once again violated his court-ordered conditions six times between Jan. 30 and Feb. 13.
He was arrested on Friday on University Avenue West and has been charged with six counts of failing to comply with a release order, police said.
His surety, who was with him at the time, was also arrested and charged with facilitating a breach of a release order.
The surety is an individual who agrees to supervise an accused while they are out on bail and ensure they comply with their release conditions.
