Gaza: The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGOs) has condemned the US administration's decision to impose sanctions on three Palestinian human rights organizations, considering it "a blatant attempt to silence free voices exposing the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation."

The network explained in a press release Friday that the unprecedented US decision includes Al Haq (Ramallah), the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), and the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights (Gaza).

It noted that these human rights organizations have carried out their professional work documenting the crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people and have fought for justice and accountability through the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

It added that these steps reflect a consistent approach by successive US administrations, which seeks to promote impunity and protect the Israeli occupation from international accountability, in flagrant violation of international law and international human rights law.

The network called on the international community, the United Nations, and all human rights organizations and free people around the world to assume their legal and moral responsibilities regarding what it described as a "vicious attack" on the freedom of human rights and humanitarian work, and to pressure the US administration to rescind these decisions.
