Oregon climber, 63, dies after falling 500 feet on Mount Hood

A 63-year-old man died in Oregon on Sunday after falling 500 feet while descending Mount Hood, officials said.
Witnesses called the sheriff’s office just after 9 a.m. to report the climbing accident. Two members of the Portland Mountain Rescue and the Hood River Crag Rats volunteer search and rescue organization were on the mountain when the accident happened and immediately began heading to the scene, officials said.More Related News
