Ontario Jr. B hockey team finishes 0-50 — without recording a single point
CBC
The Sarnia Legionnaires made the kind of sports history on Sunday that every team hopes to avoid.
The Junior B hockey squad — which plays in the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL) — lost its 50th straight game to conclude the 2025-2026 season without collecting a single win or point.
Sarnia’s final game was an 8-2 defeat in Elmira at the hands of the Sugar Kings.
The Legionnaires finished the campaign with a mind-boggling goal differential of minus-258.
The team was fairly young by league standards with several 16- and 17-year-olds consistently in the lineup.
The winless season is a first for the GOHL since it began in 2007 with the merger of three smaller junior leagues.
The league competes for the Sutherland Cup. Last season, the Chatham Maroons claimed the championship.
