New York: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced Friday that the number of Palestinians injured this year in 1,600 attacks and assaults carried out by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank has risen to 733, double the number recorded last year.

OCHA stated in a report that 362 civilians were injured in 2024 during raids and attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinian land, noting that the number of Palestinians injured in these attacks across the occupied West Bank has increased by nearly 340 percent over the past five years.

It noted that 168 Palestinians were injured in the West Bank in 2021, 289 in 2022, 373 in 2023 (the year the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip began), and 362 in 2024, all as a result of attacks and incursions by settlers into Palestinian villages and lands.

The UN office pointed out that these attacks and incursions affected more than 270 Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, particularly in the cities of Ramallah, Nablus, and Hebron.

It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation authorities have allowed Israeli settlers to commit various violations against Palestinians in the West Bank, including armed attacks, incursions, the confiscation of land and private property, and the targeting of civilians with weapons.
