NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch on Friday said she “will not tolerate any attacks on my cops, period” — after Mayor Zohran Mamdani and District Attorney Alvin Bragg dismissed the punks who tossed icy snowballs at officers as nothing more than pranksters.
“When you wear this uniform and uphold those standards, you deserve to be treated with respect,’’ Tisch told a group of cops at a promotion ceremony.
“The vast majority of New Yorkers know that they have deep appreciation, perhaps, as individuals and for policing in general, don’t allow the loudest voices in the room to erode the pride that you have in wearing the uniform and in protecting this city.
“One thing that you can count on with me is this: I will hold this department to the highest standards,’’ she said.
“When those standards are met, I will always be fiercely protective of you, and as you’ve seen recently, I certainly will not tolerate any attacks on my cops, period.”
