Non-Covid patients in OGD Dept of Al Wakra Hospital transferred to Women’s Wellness and Research Center

According to the statement a specialist doctor will evaluate the urgency of the women’s complaint and provide advice whether to report to Women's Wellness and Research Center’s Emergency Department or other health provider facility as appropriate.

Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today announced that non-Covid-19 patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Al Wakra Hospital have been transferred to Women’s Wellness and Research Center due to the designation of Al Wakra Hospital as a medical facility for Covid-19 cases. “Please be aware that services for all non-Covid-19 patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Al Wakra Hospital have been transferred to Women’s Wellness and Research Center to receive the necessary care. Al Wakra patients due for outpatient appointments will be contacted either through phone call or text message to inform them if they have been booked for a virtual or face-or-face consultation,” MoPH tweeted. The tweet added, “ You can also call AWH’s hotline numbers 4011 5442/4011 4755 for assistance. All women with obstetric or gynecological issues, who are residents of Al Wakra and the surrounding areas, in need of urgent obstetrics and gynecology services are required to call the Women’s Wellness and Research Center Emergency Department on hotline number 4026 1091,” According to the statement a specialist doctor will evaluate the urgency of the women’s complaint and provide advice whether to report to Women's Wellness and Research Center’s Emergency Department or other health provider facility as appropriate. The Ambulance Service is also available to provide rapid support for severe medical emergencies.
