No Metro services on Fridays until 13 August and during Eid holidays

Doha Metro services will be suspended on Fridays between 9th July and 13th August, and also during the Eid holidays between 21st and 24th of July, Doha Metro & Lusail Tram said in a tweet Saturday. The suspension of the service is to carry out system upgrade works across the network, the tweet added. The upgrade is to increase the network capacity, facilitating the operation of more trains and to provide more frequent services to customers in the future, Doha Metro said. The announcement added that, in order to minimize the inconvenience to the customers, dates that historically seen fewest passengers are chosen to carry out the works.
