CBC
A man and woman are facing second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of a victim found in a downtown apartment earlier this week in what police are describing as a domestic-related homicide.
Dominic Hood, 29, was arrested late Wednesday in the northeast community of Pineridge.
Jordan Curtis Vaughn Smith, 27, is wanted on Canada-wide warrants. She is described as five feet two inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds.
On Tuesday around 9:30 p.m., police were called to an apartment building in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue S.E.
Officers found a man in his 20s dead inside an apartment.
Police say the accused and victim knew each other and that investigators believe "a fatal assault occurred as a result of a domestic-related matter."
"Details of the nature of the relationship between all three individuals forms part of the investigation and will not be released at this time," said police in a written statement.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place Friday.
The Calgary Police Service is asking anyone with information about the homicide to contact its non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or provide tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
