Multipurpose fitness equipment installed at Museum Park

A compact structure that allows several users practice a physical activity simultaneously has been installed at the Museum Park on Al Corniche Street. The Public Gardens Department supervised the installation of the fitness equipment, in co-operation with Gebal International Group. The multipurpose Mouv’roc equipment covers a space of 48sqm and can accommodate up to 11 persons at a time to workout. A QR code on the machine contains the instructions for proper use. A rubber floor is also installed to ensure safety of users. As part of community co-operation with Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar’s programme ‘Your Health First’, two sports halls have been installed at Rawdat Al Khail and Umm Al Saneem parks to encourage visitors to practice sports and enjoy their time. Further, a table for Teqball (a ball sport that is played on a curved table, combining elements of football and table tennis) will be installed soon in co-operation with Nabina Holding Company.
