The registration process continues for private schools and kindergartens for the academic year 2022-2023, which started on the 1st of March and continues until 13th of October for students inside Qatar, while the registration for students from outside Qatar continues until the end of January 2023.
According to the Private Schools Licensing Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, there are more than 62,000 vacant seats in private schools and kindergartens, and more new schools are expected to open in the next academic year once they complete the related procedures.
The Director of the Private Schools Licensing Department, Hamad Mohammed Al Ghali, advised parents to choose the best school for their children, taking into account the curriculum and tuition fees, pointing out that there are 334 private schools and kindergartens in Qatar that offer 24 different educational curricula that align with the national standards, as well as community schools and mix of international curricula. It is important to note that the large number of schools and vacancies in them provide parents with a variety of options to select for their children.
Al-Ghali emphasized that the administration's comprehensive database of schools, that is shared via the ministry's website, allows parents and students to search for schools in the country based on general or detailed options represented in the location, curriculum, school stage, type of school, or School name. It also allows parents to obtain general information about the school, as well as tuition fees and other information that will assist them in making appropriate selection decisions.
