
MoPH reports 127 new Covid-19 cases, 324 recoveries

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported today 127 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, and recorded 324 recoveries from the virus, bringing the total number of cases recovered in Qatar to 356577.
In a statement, the MOPH said that 122 of the new confirmed cases are among community and 05 among travelers.
The MoPH reported that 6,449,647 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered since the start of the vaccination program, adding that 10748 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the past 24 hours. The ministry added that 1,323,742 COVID-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered to date, explaining that 88.2 percent of the total population are now fully vaccinated with two doses.
In a statement, MoPH noted that there is clear evidence of the protective effects of the vaccines and the majority of patients being admitted to ICU with COVID-19 are either unvaccinated or had their second dose more than 6 months ago and have not received a booster dose.
