Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has repeatedly warned the public not to approach, touch or move unidentified objects, fragments or debris resulting from explosions or falling objects.
In a statement issued on its official platforms, the ministry clarified why it is important that the general public follow this directive.
It said debris may cause serious injuries as they may contain irregular and sharp fragments capable of causing deep cuts or bleeding if touched.
The ministry also noted that such materials may retain extreme heat following blasts or friction and touching it may cause immediate burns.
It further warned that some debris may have unexploded remnants that could trigger explosion if moved or touched.
