MoCI closes three commercial establishments for consumer protection violation

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) issued today August 10, 2025, an administrative decision to close three commercial establishments for a period of 30 days each. 

The decision was made due to their violation of the provisions of Article No. (16) of Law No. (8) of 2008 on Consumer Protection and its executive regulations.

The commercial establishments concerned with this violation are: Al-Bahar Al-Abyad for Trade and Shipping Services, Silver Fouji for Elevators, and M.B.I. for Glass and Décor. 

The decision was a result of a violation from their parts for not providing the guarantees agreed upon with the consumer.

The penalty issued by the ministry is a total closure for a period of 30 days.
