MoCI announces initiative to regulate car maintenance, repair shops in cities

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced an initiative to regulate car maintenance and repair businesses in cities and on commercial streets. This initiative comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Ministry of Interior, in aims at regulating and monitoring commercial activities across Qatar. In accordance with the laws, conditions and requirements in force in the country, businesses that engage in car maintenance and repair activities in cities and on commercial streets may not: -              Conduct their activities outside the site defined in the granted license, including conducting business in public parking lots, on sidewalks, in adjacent squares and in residential areas.
