DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality has officially launched its Sustainability Report 2025, a comprehensive document that captures the nation’s progress in creating greener cities, enhancing food security, promoting digital transformation, and ensuring the well-being of communities.
The report reflects the Ministry’s long-term commitment to building a sustainable, resilient, and people-centred Qatar where every policy, service, and project supports environmental protection, social inclusion, and economic growth.
Developed in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, the report is also aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030, the Third National Development Strategy (2024–2030), and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It highlights how sustainability has become a central pillar of municipal governance integrated into waste management, city planning, agriculture, infrastructure, and community services.
This publication is the first comprehensive sustainability report of its kind in the municipal sector, setting a new national benchmark for transparency, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making. By disclosing data on greenhouse-gas emissions, energy and water use, green-space expansion, social inclusion, and digital innovation.
