Doha, Qatar: The Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force 'Lekhwiya' H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani met with Gilles Michaud, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Safety and Security today, November 18, 2025. 

During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation, based on the directives of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, in strengthening the partnership with the United Nations.  

A cooperation agreement between the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and the United Nations, was also signed which provides for the implementation of training and qualification programs, in addition to the transfer and exchange of expertise between the two parties in securing the organization's headquarters and protecting high-ranking officials.
