Doha: Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani met on Tuesday with Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America HE Kashyap Patel.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint security cooperation, exchange expertise, and support joint efforts to strengthen security and combat crime. The two sides also reviewed ongoing cooperation related to securing the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The meeting also witnessed the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya and the FBI.
The MoUs were signed by Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on behalf of the Qatari side, and by Director of the FBI HE Kashyap Patel on behalf of the US side.
