Mid-week fog advisory issued for London and surrounding area

Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for the London region, warning that widespread fog is causing near-zero visibility in some areas.
The mid-week fog has descended on London and the rest of southwestern Ontario.
"With temperatures near or just below the freezing mark, the fog may deposit ice on untreated surfaces. Some roads and sidewalks may become slippery as a result," Environment Canada said in a statement.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility, but the fog is expected to lift later this morning. The weather service advises that if visibility is reduced while driving, to slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
