
Michigan tornado victims identified, including 12-year-old boy

The tornado-producing storm that ripped across a 50-mile stretch of southern Michigan on March 6 was followed by another tornado in Oklahoma.
Two of four people who died in a tornado outbreak that struck southern Michigan on Friday night have been identified.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department identified a 12-year-old boy who died near Edwardsburg, Michigan, and a funeral home obituary named a 65-year-old woman who died in the Union City tornado.
Tornadoes touched down at those two locations, as well as in Three Rivers, Michigan, in St. Joseph County, leaving a path of devastation in each community.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department said Silas Anderson, a 12-year-old boy, died in a tornado that touched down in Milton Township, Michigan, just outside of Edwardsburg. The release said they received a call that Anderson was missing, and when first responders arrived at the location, the boy had been found and the family was administering first aid. Anderson was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital and died there.
