Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella is battling a malignant brain tumor known as a medulloblastoma. An MRI scan led to the diagnosis in October 2023.
A medulloblastoma is a fast-growing cancerous brain tumor that develops in the cerebellum, the back of the brain where movement and coordination are controlled.
The father-and-daughter pair revealed the emotional news during a “Good Morning America” segment with Robin Roberts on Thursday.
“Today my daughter @IsabellaStrahan joined @RobinRoberts and myself for an interview about the journey she has been going through on @GMA,” he wrote via Instagram. “I love you Isabella and I’m always by your side. To all sending love, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!”
During the sit-down, the University of Southern California freshman revealed that it has been “two months of keeping it quiet, which has been difficult.”
Isabella, who noted that she doesn’t want to “hide” her journey anymore, “didn’t notice anything was off ’til probably like Oct. 1.”
