Mets changing Jonah Tong stance with star prospect now a rotation possibility
NY Post
ATLANTA — Winds have shifted in the Mets organization, with elite pitching prospect Jonah Tong’s name entering the conversation for the major league rotation this season.
Tong pitched six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts Saturday night for Triple-A Syracuse in his second start since his promotion from Binghamton.
The right-hander has been among the top pitchers in all of minor league baseball this season.
Organizational sources throughout the season have indicated Tong wouldn’t be a consideration for the major league roster this year.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
