Meta is hiring engineers based in Bengaluru, with 41 positions listed on its web page even as US.-based employees reel from the performance-based layoffs that began earlier this month.
The hiring update comes as Meta employees claimed that the social media giant is establishing a new Bengaluru site, TechCrunch said in a report. In India, Meta has offices in Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
After U.S. President Donald Trump returned to the White House, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced an end to fact-checking across platforms, apart from rolling back Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives (DEI).
Meta is also focusing on integrating generative AI into its social media apps in order to boost user engagement and enhance algorithms.
Meta is currently hiring for a Director of Engineering, a machine learning software engineer, and various ASIC engineers.
