
Markets pull back from record highs on profit-booking; log weekly gains

Equity benchmarks surged to fresh lifetime peaks on Friday but finished with modest losses, snapping their three-session winning streak, as investors rotated out of RIL, metal and IT stocks at higher levels.
After gyrating 866 points during the day, the 30-share BSE Sensex settled 125.27 points or 0.21 % lower at 59,015.89. It had surged to a lifetime high of 59,737.32 in the morning session.
Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty slipped 44.35 points or 0.25 % to close at 17,585.15, after touching an intra-day record of 17,792.95.

Insurance penetration and density are often misunderstood and do not reveal how many families are insured or whether they would be financially secure if the main earning member were to die. The real issue is not reach but adequacy, as households may have life insurance but not enough cover to replace lost income, leaving them financially vulnerable.
