Marjorie Taylor Greene is putting her support behind Tucker Carlson after the former Fox News host appeared to draw ire from the president.
Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is backing Tucker Carlson after the conservative media figure appeared to draw the ire of President Donald Trump over comments on the Iran war.
"I SUPPORT TUCKER," Greene wrote in a March 5 post on X.
"Tucker would beat Trump if he ran for President and Trump tried to violate the constitution and tried to run again for a third term," she added, referencing the 2028 presidential election. The U.S. Constitution limits Trump to two presidential terms, though he has hinted at a possible third term in the past.
Greene's comments were in response to a post from ABC News journalist Jonathan Karl about Trump's latest remarks about Carlson. It came days after Carlson told ABC News that the United States' war in Iran is "disgusting and evil."
"Tucker has lost his way," Trump reportedly told Karl. "I knew that a long time ago, and he's not MAGA. MAGA is saving our country. MAGA is making our country great again. MAGA is America first, and Tucker is none of those things. And Tucker is really not smart enough to understand that."
