Marjorie Taylor Greene Rants At Biden Over 'Crooked Census.' There's Just 1 Problem.

The Georgia Republican wanted to score points with her base, but factual accuracy got in the way.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene attempted to blame Joe Biden for how the 2020 census was handled, but factual accuracy got in the way.
Earlier this week, the controversial Georgia Republican announced she was introducing a new bill ― the Making American Elections Great Again Act, natch! ― that would require the census to only count U.S. citizens when determining how many House seats each state should get.
However, she made some crucial historical errors when hyping the bill Tuesday on X, formerly Twitter, by griping incorrectly that “Joe Biden’s crooked census counted millions of illegals who should’ve never been here and should’ve never been counted.”
That’s because her fearless leader, Donald Trump, was president when the 2020 census took place. In fact, his administration was criticized for attempting to use the census process for Republican political gain.
There was another big error in her post: The Constitution requires the census to count everyone, citizens and noncitizens alike, so her bill would require a change to the Constitution ― not easy even in less polarized times.
