Sudbury police said a man was taken to hospital with "what is believed to be a gunshot wound" following an incident on Friday morning.
Around 6:15 a.m., police were called to Bruce Avenue. Officers were told multiple people were seen outside on a balcony apartment unit "when a man was possibly shot."
A man was found injured on scene and taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Police said they will be on scene for a prolonged period of time, canvassing the area for information and video surveillance footage.
Police said this is believed to be a targeted incident and they do not believe there is an increased risk to the public.
P.E.I.'s Public Schools Branch is looking for 50 substitute bus drivers, and it'll be recruiting at three job fairs on Saturday, June 8. The job fairs are located at the Atlantic Superstore in Montague, Royalty Crossing in Charlottetown, and the bus parking lot of Three Oaks Senior High in Summerside. All three run from 9 a.m. until noon. Dave Gillis, the director of transportation and risk management for the Public Schools Branch, said the number of substitute drivers they're hiring isn't unusual. "We are always looking for more. Our drivers tend to have an older demographic," he said.
