
Male dead after being found shot in Yorkdale mall parking lot Thursday: police

Toronto police are investigating a fatal shooting outside the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in North York Thursday morning.
Officers responded to a call about a shooting in the mall's parking lot in the area of Dufferin Street and Highway 401 at around 6:13 a.m., police said in a social media post.
When they arrived, they found a male victim who had been shot. He was later pronounced dead, police say.
There was a large police presence outside the mall Thursday morning, with several police cars and yellow tape surrounding a section of the mall's parking lot outside a bookstore.
No other details about the victim have been released at this time.
The homicide and missing person unit of the Toronto Police Service is now investigating.
