Maharashtra legislature's Budget Session from March 3-26 in Mumbai; State Budget for 2025-26 to be presented on March 10.
The Budget Session of the Maharashtra legislature will be held from March 3 to March 26 in Mumbai. The State Budget for the fiscal 2025-26 will be presented in both Houses of the legislature on March 10.
The session-related work was discussed at a meeting of the advisory committee of the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai on Sunday (February 23, 2025).
During the Budget Session, the Legislative Assembly will function on Saturday, March 8, which is a public holiday. A holiday will be declared on March 13 on the backdrop of Holi.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Speaker of the Legislative Council Ram Shinde, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Rahul Narvekar, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil, Ministers Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan, Shambhuraj Desai, Chhagan Bhujbal, NCP-SP leader Jitendra Awhad, and others along with officials of the departments concerned were present at the meeting.
