
Macaulay Culkin mourns the loss of ‘Home Alone’ mom Catherine O’Hara: ‘I thought we had time’

Macaulay Culkin is mourning the loss of his “Home Alone” mom, Catherine O’Hara, after her shocking death.
The former child star, 45, took to Instagram on Friday with a touching tribute to his on-screen mother, with whom he remained close well into adulthood.
In the photo, he shared a side-by-side photos of O’Hara sweetly embracing a young Culkin in the famous Christmas movie and a picture of the actress holding him in a similar embrace as she supported him during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2024.
“Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you,” he captioned the picture in part.
“But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later, ” he added.
O’Hara died on Jan. 30. She was 71 years old.
