Luka Doncic opens up on Lakers’ blockbuster $10 billion sale to Mark Walter
NY Post
Luka Doncic weighed in on his new boss.
The Lakers’ superstar guard provided his thoughts Thursday on the stunning revelation that the Buss family is selling its majority stake in the Lakers to businessman Mark Walter for approximately $10 billion.
“The Lakers are an amazing organization,” Doncic posted on X.
“I’m looking forward to meeting Mark and excited about the future. I am also grateful to Jeanie and the Buss family for welcoming me to LA, and I’m happy that Jeanie will continue to be involved. I look forward to working with both of them to win championships!”
The deal marks the largest sale for a U.S. sports franchise.
Walter also is the primary owner of the Dodgers in MLB, and is the CEO of TWG Global.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
