London police are investigating what's being described as a suspicious death after a body was found inside a burning vehicle.
Police were called to the area of Manning Drive between White Oak Road and Wonderland Road South just before 9 p.m. on Saturday for a vehicle that was on fire.
Police said one person was found dead at the scene. The police service's major crimes section is investigating.
In a news release, police said the investigation is in early stages, and that they are working with the regional coroner's office and the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office.
Police are asking residents to avoid the area, as it may be closed all throughout Sunday morning due to the investigation.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
P.E.I.'s Public Schools Branch is looking for 50 substitute bus drivers, and it'll be recruiting at three job fairs on Saturday, June 8. The job fairs are located at the Atlantic Superstore in Montague, Royalty Crossing in Charlottetown, and the bus parking lot of Three Oaks Senior High in Summerside. All three run from 9 a.m. until noon. Dave Gillis, the director of transportation and risk management for the Public Schools Branch, said the number of substitute drivers they're hiring isn't unusual. "We are always looking for more. Our drivers tend to have an older demographic," he said.
