The actors, who play Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes, were asked about their former co-star Kim Cattrall’s character, Samantha Jones.
And just like that, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon have stirred up some cosmopolitan chaos in the “Sex and the City” universe.
Friendship, like fashion, is all about fit. Some pieces carry you through seasons of change, while others — though once essential — might not work quite the same anymore. And that’s the message Davis and Nixon leaned into during a recent interview with Attitude Magazine, posted on TikTok on Sunday.
The “Sex and the City” actors were asked about their former co-star Kim Cattrall’s character, Samantha Jones — whom fans have missed in the show’s revival “And Just Like That…”
The interviewer, Jamie Tabberer, brought up Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, and made the wistful observation that she and Samantha have been “texting a lot this season, and in past seasons.”
“Do you hope, as I do, that Miranda and Samantha are texting this season?” he asked Nixon, noting that Samantha might be just the person her character, Miranda Hobbes, could turn to as she explores her sexuality.
