Knicks finally look whole at practice as Mitchell Robinson, OG Anunoby injury returns loom
NY Post
The Knicks had their entire roster fully participating in practice Wednesday for the first time this season, as Mitchell Robinson moved ever closer to making his season debut soon after the All-Star break.
Robinson was cleared for and resumed 5-on-5 scrimmaging — with OG Anunoby also making it through the entire session — although Tom Thibodeau declined to say whether either or both will suit up for Thursday’s home game against the Bulls.
“Mitch was good, OG was good. So it was good to be back out there,” Thibodeau said. “[They] did everything.”
Asked if Robinson could play Thursday for the first time since undergoing ankle surgery in May, Thibodeau added, “I haven’t heard from medical yet, so we’ll see. But he looks good. He’s gotta get his timing (back), but overall, he moved pretty well…But it will take some time.”
Thibodeau acknowledged that the presence of the 7-foot Robinson will make the Knicks’ rotation “a little different” with his ability to protect the rim and grab offensive rebounds.
“You have to anticipate that the game’s gonna be different so we’ll see where he is once he’s out there,” Thibodeau said. “He’ll need a little bit of time.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
