Knicks’ biggest roster upgrade already on the team
NY Post
Relying on Mitchell Robinson is problematic. Centers with multiple lower-body surgeries tend to miss games. They sabotage careers.
Just ask Greg Oden.
The Knicks surely understand the risk, just as the rest of the NBA surely understands the risk. Since he started in the NBA as an immediately encouraging second-round pick in 2018, I can’t imagine Robinson’s trade value being much lower than it is today — nine months into a recovery that was supposed to take roughly half the time.
Over the last five seasons, Robinson played 193 games and logged 176 DNPs. We’re getting close to a 1:1 ratio since the pandemic.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
