The "House of Cards" actor said he's been living out of hotels and Airbnbs while performing at a Cyprus nightclub after losing his home in foreclosure.
Kevin Spacey says he’s officially homeless after becoming ensnared in a costly legal battle brought on by various allegations of sexual misconduct.
Speaking to The Telegraph in an interview published Wednesday, Spacey said he’s been living in hotels and Airbnbs while performing at a nightclub in Cyprus, having recently lost his Baltimore, Maryland, home in foreclosure.
“I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain,” he told the outlet. “The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.”
A two-time Oscar winner, Spacey was hit with a series of sexual assault and harassment allegations in 2017. His accusers included “Rent” actor Anthony Rapp, who claimed Spacey made sexual advances toward him when he was just 14 years old, and actor Richard Dreyfuss’ son, Harry Dreyfuss.
On the same day that Rapp went public with his allegations, Spacey came out as gay after years of speculation around his sexuality. His announcement was met with heavy criticism from the LGBTQ+ community, with many accusing him of attempting to distract from the seriousness of the claims leveled against him.
