Karl-Anthony Towns out for Knicks’ game vs. Magic with injury
NY Post
One player in, one player out.
Just as the Knicks got all their starters back, they were again shorthanded.
Karl-Anthony Towns is out for the Knicks’ game against the Magic Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden with left calf tightness.
It cropped up during the Knicks’ rout of the Jazz on Friday. He was seen wincing while receiving treatment from trainers on the bench during the third quarter of that game.
Given that and the lopsided nature of the scoreline, he did not return to the game.
OG Anunoby, after missing nine games with a left hamstring strain, returned for Friday’s win. It meant coach Mike Brown was able to trot out Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Anunoby, Josh Hart and Towns as his starting lineup – the same starting unit Tom Thibodeau used last year and the one Brown intends to use going forward.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
