Karl-Anthony Towns deserves better than this out-of-control hate
NY Post
There comes a point when the blame game turns nasty. Bullying, even. In the age of social media, it’s amplified. And unfortunately, we’ve reached that point with Karl-Anthony Towns.
For much of Towns’ career, he’s been the easy target. You could blame Jimmy Butler, but it’s also the curse of being a nice guy.
Part of Towns’ personality is smiling a lot. God forbid. Draymond Green gets a national TV opportunity because he’s a jerk. Towns isn’t angry enough— so he’s soft.
Welcome to the 2025 landscape.

The Knicks won’t be raising a banner to the rafters at Madison Square Garden to commemorate their victory in the 2025 NBA Cup, and you can count your humble narrator among the faction that wishes they’d chosen differently. I’m not quite sure when it became mandatory to rinse as much fun out of sports as possible, but we’re sure trying.
