• Today in court: Jurors in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal criminal trial are deliberating for a second day. Yesterday, they deliberated for more than five hours. • Notes from the jury: Yesterday, the jury sent a note saying they were concerned that one of the jurors could not follow the judge’s instructions. The judge sent a note back reminding jurors of their obligation to follow his instructions on the law. A later note asked a question about the distribution of controlled substances, which the judge said he would answer today. • The charges: Combs, 55, is charged with five counts — one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts each of sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. If found guilty of the most serious charges, he could face up to life in prison. The jury is asking for transcripts from two witnesses, prosecutor Maurene Comey said. The jury has sent another note to the judge. Lawyers for both sides are reentering the courtroom now. Defense attorneys and prosecutors are now adjourned following the brief court session this morning. Meanwhile, the jury is continuing deliberations.
