The star said the president was a very "different guy" than the person he once called a friend during an interview with The Independent.
Josh Brolin thinks President Donald Trump’s skill for selling himself has come in handy as a politician.
In an interview published Saturday, the actor told The Independent that while he doesn’t recognize much of his old friend, Trump is still a “genius” when it comes to marketing.
Musing about if the Republican really plans to seek out a constitutionally questionable third term in 2028, Brolin said, “I’m not scared of Trump, because even though he says he’s staying for ever, it’s just not going to happen. And if it does, then I’ll deal with that moment.”
“But having been a friend of Trump before he was president, I know a different guy,” he added.
The “Dune” actor also said he understands why people gravitate to Trump, adding, “There is no greater genius than him in marketing.”
