The "Daily Show" correspondent may have found the CNN commentator's real goal.
“Daily Show” correspondent Jordan Klepper trolled conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings in an online segment that looked at his transformation from a “principled caterpillar to craven butterfly.”
Jennings, Klepper said, first joined CNN as “a rare conservative voice who would openly attack Donald Trump.”
He rolled footage of Jennings doing just that, at one point saying Trump “sounds like an unhinged, deranged person.”
But just two years later, Klepper said, Jennings was showing “total compliance” to Trump. That’s led to more pro-Trump antics by Jennings, which has given him more camera time.
Now, he’s reportedly considering running to replace Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
