John Harbaugh targets Ravens assistant Willie Taggart for Giants staff with offensive coordinator interview
NY Post
Todd Monken isn’t the only member of the Ravens staff under consideration to be John Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator for the Giants.
The Giants reportedly requested an interview with Ravens running backs coach Willie Taggart for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
The Ravens are not expected to block many (or any) offensive coaches under contract from interviews, The Post first reported.
Taggart spent the past three seasons under Monke, the Ravens offensive coordinator who is the favorite to hold the same title with the Giants if he is not hired as Browns head coach after participating in two rounds of interviews.
Monken also has interviewed for other offensive coordinator vacancies, but his close relationship with Harbaugh suggests that the Giants would have the edge on an even playing field.
Taggart is an expert in the Harbaugh Way.

The deal that brought Aidan Thompson to the Rangers didn’t create the ripple effects that the Artemi Panarin trade did because of who departed the organization. That was only Derrick Pouliot, a 32-year-old defenseman more than two years removed from his last NHL game. It didn’t create the waves like one for, say, Vincent Trocheck, would have because of current NHL players or draft capital the Blueshirts received in return, either.
