NY Post
The Ryan family has a long history with the Jets, and the team is adding another chapter.
The Jets are hiring Seth Ryan, the son of Rex and grandson of Buddy, as their new passing game coordinator, according to a source.
Seth Ryan, 31, has been on the Lions staff since 2021.
He was the team’s assistant tight ends coach last year and had been assistant wide receivers coach before that.
He worked for the Chargers in 2019-20 as a quality control coach.
Ryan’s father, Rex, served as Jets head coach from 2009-14 and led them to back-to-back AFC Championship game appearances in 2009-10, the team’s last trips to the playoffs.
